Apple Almond Cake
1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup flour
2/3 cup berry sugar 1/3 cup milk
2 eggs 1 apple, grated
1/2 cup self-rising flour 1/4 cu slivered almonds
Grease a deep 8-inch round cake pan, line base wiht paper and grease paper. Cream butter and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy; beat in eggs one at a time; beat until well combined. Transfer mixture to large bowl, stir in half the sifted flours with half the milk. Stir until smooth. Repeat. Spread into prepared pan, sprinkle with apple and almonds. Bake at 350 degrees F. for about 45 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before turning onto wire rack to cool.
